The premises located in Plaça Gal-la Placídia is the birthplace of Monster Sushi, the origin of it all. In 2010, a Venezuelan couple living in Barcelona, Ricardo and Fabiola, set out to fulfill their dream – to create the best sushi restaurant in Barcelona. The couple have worked with enthusiasm and at length betting from the beginning and striving for excellence in their product as well as in their service.
Fabiola is a sushi chef with decades of experience of handling the most popular dish in Japanese gastronomy known as ¨sushi¨. Owing it to her meticulous training and apprenticeship in Barcelona, California and Japan, she established one of the foundations on which Monster's philosophy is based on – the search for perfection. Whilst raw materials are locally sourced, the essential values of the sushi produced are very well preserved along with that, Fabiola also, never missed out in incorporating traditional Japanese techniques to enhance its flavour.
Thus, a gastronomic burst of flavor for a dish that appear quite simple yet conceals years of experience, practice and perfection.
Without pause, Monster Sushi is flourishing and establishing its name as a cozy corner with a lot of personality, where you can enjoy quality sushi made with superior ingredients and masterclass perfection.
